Turn off the Television

How much is too much? That’s the problem that many players face when they find that they end up spending more time in front of a television screen watching poker than interacting with real life. Televised poker is meant to be thrilling to watch and many people get caught up in the adrenaline. If you already have a latent interest in the game than televised poker can be just what you need to tip it from a hobby to an obsession. When your television poker watching habit gets to serious, you can easily forget that there are other things to spend your time on than watching the same old plays.

One good marker that you can use to tell how much is too much is whether you have seen the program before. There are really only so many poker online events that they publically televised. These same events are repeated over and over again on channels that cater to clients like you. If you are starting to recognize hands before they are dealt, or know who wins without seeing the cards, then you need to put down the remote. You have had enough televised poker coverage for a while. It’s time to turn off the television and start playing online poker for real.
